Rafael Nadal destroyed Tomas Berdych in straight sets Sunday morning to win his second Wimbledon title and his 8th Grand Slam tennis championship.

Berdych was no match for Nadal, who won 6-3, 7-5, 6-4 in a little over two hours worth of playing time. Nadal broke Berdych’s serve four times during the match, won the second set tiebreaker and destroyed Berdych with a crosscourt forehand to win the match in the third.

To put it simply, this match wasn’t even close. Nadal did not drop one service the entire match, and he lost just 24 points on serve all day. He did have 21 unforced errors, signaling he that he was not even on top of his game. Still, his 29 winners were enough to keep serve break a few serves here and there, which is typically all one needs to do in order to win on a grass court surface.

It should come as no surprise that Nadal beat Berdych. This was the 7th straight time that Nadal has beaten Berdych. Of course, it’s not as if Nadal had a lot of trouble along the way to the championship round. Nadal has 14 consecutive matches at All-England Tennis club, spanning back to 2008 win he captured his first Wimbledon Title.

Nadal is now undefeated in his last five Grand Slam Finals appearances, and he is ranked as the #1 tennis player in the world.
